You left Adikteev, then came back. Tell us more about that journey.

I joined Adikteev in 2020. After a year and four months, I moved to a different company to pursue some other projects, but when many major tech companies experienced a downturn, I was able to return to Adikteev in March 2023. My manager told me, “The door is still open for you to come back!” I was thrilled to return. At Adikteev, the people are intelligent, and the projects are engaging—it’s hard to say no to that! My team is fantastic because our voices are heard, and it’s well-managed. And we have a 4.5-day work week.

What’s your daily routine like as an Adikteev Backend Engineer?

As a backend engineer, my tasks are diverse. We deliver features based on product requirements. Collaborating with the product team, we design and refine features as needed. We evaluate the product and its features, then develop solutions together. We refine these solutions, assess service impacts, and estimate timelines. Once finalized, we document, implement, and deploy them. Finally, we monitor to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We are also working on an internal project at Adikteev to improve our product. We mostly design new services to manage different users and make campaign sections go faster.

When I see your screen, it’s all codes!

Yeah, but coding is actually the easiest part. The hard part is designing something robust: adaptable to change, easy to manage, maintain, and scale with more users and increased demand.
There’s lots of links between what we do in the future and the project.

What is it like being in the tech industry in this day and age?

Tech is always evolving, and there are constant changes, so you have to keep up. You’re always learning new things. In adtech, there are unique challenges, like latency constraints and high traffic volumes, which you don’t often find in other tech domains. This keeps me motivated every day. It’s a fascinating field to work in.

What’s life like outside of work?

I enjoy sports—I swim and run. I also love to cook. About a year and a half ago, I started learning the guitar. I finally found a great new teacher after my first one left Paris. And, of course, I love video games, especially Mario Kart.
