Meet Gwennaëlle, Senior Data Scientist on our Machine Learning team. With a PhD in applied mathematics, she plays a key role in driving Adikteev’s machine learning projects forward.

Tell us about yourself and your experience.

As a senior machine learning engineer I participate in the design, optimization and deployment of our various machine learning projects at Adikteev. Our most important subject is to predict the bid. On top of that I ensure the scalability, efficiency and robustness of our models. I collaborate with the data engineering team, product team and backend team. Working on the end-to-end pipelines is what makes the job very interesting. It combines a very technical approach with theory and realistic solutions.

Before joining Adikteev, I was working at a startup that delivered a SaaS platform for data observability. I wanted to return to the adtech industry because I really enjoy the machine learning challenges it presents. I connected with Adikteev through a headhunter, and during the recruitment process, I could really envision myself here. The vision was clear, and I could see that the people were incredibly smart.

What’s it like working in Machine Learning at Adikteev? It’s a new team here, right?

It’s definitely a bit of a challenge. We have a lot to deliver, and everything feels like it’s happening all at once. But there's a great sense of cohesion within the team, which I really appreciate. Even when things get tough, we know we can rely on each other. I love that about our team. I believe that together, we can improve on what’s been done before and deliver impactful features for the business.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy?

I like to run—I run about three to four times a week. I also started getting into French boxing a few months ago, and I try to go whenever I can, though it can be tough with my schedule. Every week, I take a guitar lesson from a teacher I’ve known for five years, and we even do two concerts each year with other students. It’s a lot of fun, though it takes up quite a bit of time. I also have a cat that I adore; he needs a lot of attention, but he’s a really sweet cat. Before COVID, I used to attend a lot of concerts, but now it’s a bit less frequent.

How is it working at Adikteev so far?

I joined in June, but it already feels like I’ve been here for at least a year. Everyone is so approachable, and it’s been easy to integrate into the team. The work-life balance here is fantastic. In my team, I really appreciate the management style—even with the pressure, it’s more of a positive stress rather than overwhelming.

I’ve worked at other companies before, but Adikteev is a place where I can truly see myself long-term. The work is engaging, and my colleagues are genuinely great people. I see a lot of potential for growth here, both personally and for the company, which is really motivating. It’s the kind of place where you look forward to going to the office and seeing everyone.
